Commando Customs Out of the Darkness Charity Car Show

The Island Car Enthusiast (I.C.E.) Car Club and Commando Customs rallied the region for the 16th Annual “Out of Darkness.†Charity Hot Rod & Classic Car Show. Beyond chrome and horsepower, the day was shaped by advocacy, awareness, and community connection. Proceeds were directed to the Georgia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

Event Highlights

  • Full field of classics and customs: Hot rods, trucks, bikes, and modern builds lined the streets.
  • Live music & downtown energy: The Hickabilly Hepcats and The Rumtones brought a festival vibe, alongside hometown food and vendor favorites.
  • Pin-Up Contest & prizes: Friendly competition and raffles kept the crowd engaged throughout the day.
  • Free for spectators: A welcoming, family-friendly environment for all ages.

Why It Matters

Suicide remains the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. The AFSP Georgia Chapter works year-round to support families, fund life-saving research, and fight the stigma surrounding mental health. The Springfield event raised funds for these efforts. At the same time, it brought people together for awareness, advocacy, and hope. Attendees were encouraged to keep the conversation going and to serve as voices for change.

Shamrock+ Participation

Shamrock+ joined as an in-kind sponsor and provided aerial and ground photography to showcase the day. Vehicles, candid crowd moments, and on-stage highlights were all documented for post-event storytelling and promotion.

In addition to community support, Shamrock+ offers full-service event coverage for organizations and businesses.
