Ryan Murphy: Award-Winning Architect and President of Shamrock+
Innovative Leadership in AEC Visualization
Ryan Murphy, AIA, NCARB, serves as the President and co-founder of Shamrock+, a veteran-owned visual solutions company based in Savannah, Georgia. As a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience, Ryan leads the creative and technical direction of the firm. He helps architects, engineers, and construction professionals visualize complex environments through reality capture, 3D scanning, and drone technology.

Architectural Expertise Meets Cutting-Edge Technology
Ryan’s background blends traditional architecture with emerging tech. After earning his Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he spent 14 years managing design projects in retail, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial sectors. Eventually, he transitioned into reality capture, bringing a designer’s eye to digital modeling, LiDAR scanning, and BIM workflows. This unique blend allows Shamrock+ to support clients from concept to completion.
Recognized Thought Leader and Educator
Ryan is not only a seasoned practitioner—he’s also an educator and industry advocate. He regularly leads presentations for AIA, SAME, and design firms across the Southeast, demonstrating how emerging technologies improve workflows and decision-making. Notably, he earned multiple honors for his work using drone technology to support architecture during public health restrictions, including the Artisan Award from AIA Savannah, the AIA Young Architects Award, and the Emerging Legacy Award presented by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His frequent speaking engagements further establish Shamrock+ as a recognized leader in AEC innovation.
Delivering Visual Solutions with Impact
Under Ryan’s leadership, Shamrock+ has expanded services to include digital twins, as-built Revit models, and construction documentation. He collaborates closely with clients to ensure every visual asset meets both artistic and technical standards. From aerial photography to 3D point clouds, Ryan drives quality at every stage. His design-first approach ensures data not only looks great—but also works great in the field.
